Violence back in Brasil comes from a mixture of the deep poverty we have thanks to corrupt politicians and the ignorance of the vast uneducated people who are easily fooled into voting for the corrupt politicians. It started as violence for necessity, survival of the fittest. Now it's just gotten downright evil =/ (Atleast back in Rio, anyway.)
Here, there IS treatment. But they dont USE it. Because it is so very, very much easier to blame TV, Video Games, etc. They just released plays written by the shooter, and he was obviously mentally derranged- And even the students and faculty recognized this. Students had been afraid of him for some bit. Then when he DOES snap, it's the media, gun control, etc. Nobody can say "The dude was sick."
