I'm so glad to see how much fandom can be productive these days. I hardly spend a day without reading some good Spangel fic, which cheer my days up immensely.

I am not that productive myself with the layouts I have to make to my entry at spring_spangel (I'm kinda blah lately). I made one and a half layout until now and I'm afraid I won't be able to make a good amount of layouts until my day (May, 20th). If you have some suggestion to give me about layout making regarding Spangel, I'm open to it. Maybe I can find some inspiration.

I'm a bit lazy to comment TV shows I've been watching, so I decided to rec some fics I've liked to read this week.

Vampire Winter 1/? by deborahmm. She said it's complete, but she will post it bit by bit. It's post NFA, with Buffy, Angel and Spike and it starts in Rome. Wonderful characterization and Deborah is really great with details ;-).

Follow You Down 1/? by spankspike for spring_spangel. It's Spike/Angel and the timeline is AtS Season 5 (Hellbound). It's based loosely on Dante's 'Divine Comedy'. Very interesting.

Stolen Moments by stir_of_echoes. It's JM/DB RPS and I loved the atmosphere of this fic. After the end of AtS.

I nearly wet my pants watching this vid. It's another parody about Brokeback Mountain, this time with action figures of Obi-Wan Kenoby and Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars (but they're cowboys in this one). It made me think about doing the same with my Spike and Angel figures *evil grin*.

Oh, don't forget to observe the sheep, even if you get distracted by the, huh, hot sex *winks*. Oh my, where did I put my camera?

Brokeback Jedi with action figures

I've just saw this at spikeylover's LJ.

The Scifi Brain Web Site published a list with the 12 top slashiest couples in the science fiction/fantasy fandom. And guess what, Angel/Spike made the list!!! And in third place!!! Also Clark/Lex are in it, but honestly I thought they should be higher than fifth place, hehe.

You can see the whole list HERE, but I'm posting below what they wrote about Spike/Angel and, why not, Clark/Lex. But there are a lot of fandoms there like X-Files, Star Trek, Stargate, Firefly, X-Men, The Lord of the Rings and The Sentinel.


03) Angel/Spike (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer/Angel)
Opposite personalities? Check. Bitter rivals? Check. Feuding over a similar lover? Double check. High school angst? Triple check. What makes this couplet far more interesting than the ones lower on the list, is that even though Angel and Spike are bitter enemies, they still are almost always on the same side. Whether it’s season 2 of Buffy or season 5 of Angel, they always manage to join together for a gay ol’ time. These two would have been the best of friends if not for Drusilla or Buffy. And, the interesting thing about this couple—they’re the only one on the list to (canonically) have intercourse with one another.

05) Clark/Lex (Smallville)
Bitter rivals. Hmm. Am I starting to see a trend here? Lex Luthor and Clark Kent are about as bitter as chalk flavored ice cream. These two have been at each other’s throats since before your parents' time! Clark Kent is the simple country boy from Smallville, Kansa, while Alexander Luthor is the refined billionaire from Metropolis. Yet, in the Smallville incarnation of the Superman legacy, these two did not meet when Kent became a reporter at the Daily Planet, but in high school. Opposite personalities, bitter rivals, and high school angst. Somehow, I think they’d win, “Cutest Couple” in the high school yearbook.


And Spike/Angel is the only couple who is CANON!!! LOL!!!

Going to bed earlier. My back is killing me.

Well, I've been making a bunch of layouts since the beginning of this year and for each layout I've been making icons to match with them as well. So, as some people don't have interest in layouts, I decided to make this post to put all the icons I made until now for my layouts.

It's a total of 188 icons about nature, actors, actresses, BtVS, AtS and Star Wars. You can take and use any icon, just give me some credit, okay? Oh, and I would love some feedback *pleading eyes*.

As I promised to some people, I finally made a Spangel layout to share. I created it following mirita23's suggestions, who wanted to see a mix of past Spangel and cute Spangel. So, that's what I made. Hope you like it.
