I'm back. It was a sad sad funeral, but at the end everybody was thinking that now Marines is in peace. She was suffering a lot and she deserved to have some rest. Now the life must go on and the little Jessica (Marines's daugther) will be raised by her grandmother (my aunt Lourdes) and my other cousin Isabel.

I wanna say thank you to everybody who left a comment in my last post sending words of consolation, prayers and sympathy to me and my family. Thanks a lot, people. You are great.

Somehow a funeral gives a sense of closeure to the family. A sad occasion, but in a way a celebration of the person who passed on. I always saw the sense in an Irish Wake. Give thanks for knowing the person, even if it was for a short time.

My uncle suffered so much before he died My mother and I cried all the tears before he died. We had a sense that he no longer suffered after he died.
