LJ deletion/suspension

I've been reading a bunch of posts coming from my flist about this LJ thing against some LJ accounts going on and the possibility to hit fandom anytime soon (it seems some Harry Potter comms were already hit). So I guess that not everything about the last week's rumor was just rumor after all. All I know for sure is that some accounts from LJ have been deleted/suspended because they had "unappropriated" words listed in their interests and/or profile.

I'm not going to dig further into this, because I am not that eloquent and not that well-informed about the subject. If you want to get more information, I suggest THIS POST by vichan and THIS POST by liz_marcs.

If you are part of any fandom, join fandom_counts and be counted. After all, how many are we?
