About last night on TV.

Smallville - 5.09 - Lexmas
Christmas-y episode focused on Lex Luthor. The thing is I didn't feel quite in the Christmas mood cause, well, it's been a month we had Christmas here.

Anyway, we had Lex trying to hire someone to cause Jonathan Kent some damage (because of the whole senate race thing). Then he was shot by some muggers and ended up in the hospital. While he was into a coma state, Lex went to a fantasy land where he had a simple and normal life with his pregnant wife Lana and a son. He was even elected the man of the year!!! Apparently, in his dream, Jonathan was a senator, Clark a reporter and Chloe wrote a best seller. Oh, and Lex's mom made a special appearance to tell him he could change his future and be happy. Although the "happiness" would include Lana's death after giving birth to their second child.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Chloe asks Clark to help her to deliver Christmas gifts to poor children. And Clark has a prolific conversation with a drunk frustrated Santa Claus on a roof.

I was already expecting Lex to give up a normal life with Lana for power and money. After all, evil Lex is in the future of Superman, right? The writers wouldn't mess up with the canon more than they already did *g*.

And I'm still thinking about a future big amnesia affecting almost all the characters to put things on track. Most certainly caused by, huh, meteor rocks *rolls eyes*.

Supernatural - 1.09 - Home
Sam has a premonitory dream of a woman in dangerous in his family's old home and he and Dean return to Kansas to see what's happening. When they arrive there, the brothers find out a woman and her two children living in the house and they've been hearing weird things. Dean and Sam ask for the help of a psychic called Missouri and she says there is a poltergeist in the house.

The episode had some disturbing scenes with the plumber and his hand being crunched by the garbage disposal and the evil spirit locking the poor little kid in the fridge to freeze to death *shivers*.

About the funny I loved the psychic. She was hilarious reading Dean's mind *chuckles*.

Missouri: Boy, you put your foot on my coffee table, I'm going to whack you with a spoon.
Dean: I didn't do anything.
Missouri: You were thinking about it.

I liked to see more insight into the brothers, their fears and motivations and how they care about each other. The way Dean fought to enter in the house to save his brother was very touching. And I'm glad to know Sam has some kind of psychical perception. It can be very useful in some circumstances.

In the end, what a surprise seeing the ghost of Sam and Dean's mom fighting the poltergeist. And then, John Winchester appearing and talking to Missouri. He is alive!!! I just don't understand why John has been deliberately avoiding his sons. Cryptic much?

Well, a great episode to an excellent show ^_^.
